19 Mar 2010A followup to tuesday’s post, which was for single filers.
The graphic presents Flickr pictures of Boston Commons by color. March is at top, time progressing clockwise. I’d love to see this for a wider range of locations. (via Mark McDonald)
A particularly useless pie chart, but the map and table are interesting to use with the timeline slider.

18 Mar 2010See who is still undecided and make your phone calls as you deem fit. Sorting by the “campaign contributions from health industry” and “percent uninsured in district” is also entertaining. Of course, as Matt Taibbi said: “It could have a rider in it mandating biblical readings up through the junior college level and you still couldn’t get even a very God-fearing Republican like Tom Coburn to vote for it.”
Interesting: This chart uses poor design to help make it’s point. I like! (even if it wasn’t done on purpose).
Thanks to Sam Freund for passing it on! (originally via)
Pew Research has created an interactive filter of 2009 news coverage that graphs results by media outlet and topic. It’s a little confusing at first, but fun to play with. For example, below, you can compare Fox and NPRs coverage of several issues. Note: I had to disable Firefox’s ad-blocker to view it. (via)
An addictive collection of beautiful charts, graphs, maps, and interactive data visualization toys -- on topics from around the world.
