Interesting chart. I think it’s a bit mislabeled, though.
I have to imagine that it’s not mg of caffeine per cup, but per serving.
According to the chart as labeled, a full 8 oz cup of espresso would have a third the amount of caffeine of a brewed cup of coffee. That doesn’t seem to pass the sniff test for me.
Of course, if I’m right, then the math doesn’t quite hold up either. At 1.5 oz per shot, then 8 oz of espresso would be about 144mg of caffeine, which is 1.5x brewed coffee. That doesn’t pass my sniff test either.
Compared to everything else including 5 Hour Energy (138mg), Redbull (80mg) isn’t bad at all. According to the site, an 8oz cup of brewed coffee actually contains about 107.5mg of caffeine.
A Starbucks Grande contains about 330mg of caffeine which is more than a SPIKE energy drink shooter (ie the energy drink that is required to have a warning label). It doesn’t have as much per oz but the sheer amount you drink makes it much worse overall.

Here’s a great resource to look up caffeine content:
