Personally, I like to stare at the Peters when Iām pondering global issues, but I use the Winkel-Tripel when Iām double checking a choropleth or cartogram and need to be sure which shape in the middle of eastern Europe really is Slovenia ā I have large versions of both on my office walls.

Slovenia is neither in the middle of Eastern Europe nor actually even a part of Eastern Europe. š

And I like a Pacific-centered South pole at the top Peters, since I live in NZ (and apparently hate _everyone_).
