My dad was a designer at Ford, and color specialist for a number of years. One thing I learned from him was that people liked the color green more than they like the name green. So they’d give cars a green color option, but name it something like seafoam or sage or teal. You could call cars sky blue or sunshine yellow or fire red, but green was verboten.
