This graphic is really hard to read! I’m pretty sure that there’s a correlation between poverty and obesity, because poor people can’t afford protein, and have to eat cheap starches like spaghetti. But the graphic obscures this important fact, by arranging the data alphabetically by state! How about sorting the states by poverty rate? And why do a radial plot? A stack of ordinary graphs would be even easier to read.
Sure, it’s pretty, it’s got nice colors, but it doesn’t get its message across effectively.
