I believe (large enough) volcanic eruptions can actually lead to global cooling. That’s what Levitt says (or says someone says) in _Super Freakonomics_ anyway.

Levitt is an economist, not a climate scientist. That being said, mans contributions to the earths destruction isn’t limited to CO2 emissions. Look at the strip mining projects in northern Alberta Canada, or the rain forests of equatorial nations, to get a sneak peak into the destructive nature of industrialization. We can still curb these effects, however we are running short on time.
“Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children.”
