Sorry, I don’t think this is a good visualisation. The total abortions is largely a reflection of population so it’s not particularly informative to colour code this by voting pattern.
Colour coding the top bars would have been much more interesting in terms of highlighting a relationship between voting patterns and abortions per live birth. I’m pretty sure there is one but to find this I had to look really carefully to check that the taller top bars do tend to match to blue bottom bars and the shorter top bars to mainly red ones. Having to look “really carefully” is a good way of saying the graph doesn’t do what it should.
