Cute chart!

Is it just me or others seeing the scaling as not proper too? Japan’s figures are approximately 5 times that of India. And Germany’s are approximately twice that of Japan’s. Yet the areas of the squares don’t seem to match these numbers.

agreed… The area of France is quarter of that of the UK, but the actual difference is a factor of two. Looks like they’ve scaled by length, not by area.
